Glad to hear your story. I wish my Dad could make the jump and he's only 65. Computers would bring a new meaning to his life like your mom.

He was a very successful businessman. Retired @ 52, purchased brk.a in late 70's knowing that WB was something special. Still holds about 150 shares. Having said all that, he recently went to our local library to look up something that interested him. Found out they had gone to a computerized card-x system. My mom said it took him 2 weeks to get over the fact that they had 'locked' him and others out of the library who don't know computers.

I've tried and tried to get him to give it a shot. Even offered to buy one for him, and then sit down and show him all the wonderful things it offers. I even told him with the WWW, he can bring the library home with him. He still wants nothing to do with it.

Hats off to your dear mom, it'll add 15 years to her life.
