I think in general amzn's tactic is to reduce expectations, then beat them. While it is true that only morons fall for this trick, it seems the world is overpopulated with morons.

So, if my assumption is correct, then they encourage their broker friends to say 5% increase. When In fact they know it will be 20%.

If there was any chance of revenue decrease, Amazon would have informed their friends about it.
