Maybe it is because of a drop in DELL and INTC. However a steep down opening should provide for a buying the dips opportunity, like Jan 13th.

RE: NAS down 22

Note the almost 6 dollar wide bid/ask spread, this was a trade on the bid. I believe the NAS is very thinly traded on Globex; I'm not sure you can read too much into this as an indicator. The S&P was down 7; I think this is the more reliable view.
