Chuzz, your point is well taken. I wish I could remember whether it was Forbes or Fortune that recently profiled the CFO of AMZN. She's running as fast as she can.

Because there are less expensive competitors even now, AMZN can't raise prices. It's brand franchise, admittedly powerful, is what enables the company to maintain its current premium. In branching out, the company is searching for a profit engine that may not be there.

I trade stocks like AMZN in contrast to INTC,LU,SUNW,CSCO and MSFT which are longterm holds.What do I care if AMZN fails to show a profit...the "perception" is that some day they will turn a profit.
