Hi Sergio, I am doing fine, I hope you are too. I bookmark this thread, read a lot of it, but don't have too much to contribute. As for MTON and MLOG .... I sold MLOG in Jan 98 the 5's (I guess I broke even). Was convinced by sources to buy back in at the end of April 98 in the 4's, under the belief that 1Q 98 was "just a blip". I sold most in June in the high $2's, the rest in Sept in the high 1's. (I also bought in the low 1's and them sold in the high 1's, but as you can imagine I still took a loss). Who was it that said that "the easiest way to lose money in the stock market is to listen to the company" ? I got to learn that lesson several times in 1998. After being upbeat on MTON for over a year, I'm beginning to come around to the downside of owning them, as you pointed out to me last spring. I did very well accumulating them on the way down from $13 - $7 (MTON hit $5 !!!!) and sold a bunch in the $17s in Jan, bought them back at $14 and $13, but recent weakness/lack of interest at $12 has got me worried so I sold a bunch. I'll wait for signs of institutional interest before jumping in. That interest probably won't happen until their expiring contracts (4 of them !) are renewed and the dust settles on the rumor that Bell South (who has their own 411 service) plans on buying Sprint PCS (MTON's big customer). I also participated in the long awaited runup of HDIE from the mid $2's to $7's, watched it go to $10, and when Lehman sat on the bid at $7 for 2 weeks in Jan, I decided they knew something. So I re-entered at $7 Unfortunately a report that healthcare was way behind preparing for Y2k caused the institutions to dump, which caused margin calls to trigger, which sent the stock plummeting to the low $3's. So I decided to average down and bought some at $3 3/4 and $4 3/8 this week. I think it will take news to push it back over $5 and keep it there. But if their earnings are on target, it should go back to $8 - $10 this summer. I made some quick money flipping RNTK on their Texaco news in Oct and Nov (10,000 shares for 1/2 point each time), but just sold the last 3000 shares I bought for 15/16 for a 1/4 point loss. I had also been accumulating RNTK over the summer in the mid $1 range. The Texaco news enabled me to sell those shares at just a small loss. I sold APCO last year during its run to $14. Never bought it back. It's tough to understand why a stock with so many buy recommendations has such little support. Looks like it could be close to breaking support in the mid-$8s. But then again, it could be at bottom. As we've discussed before, the parallels between APCO and MTON's charts are uncanny. My brother accumulates IFLY in the $5 - $6 range and sells it during the runups. He's done this twice in 3 months and is pretty happy about it. This time around, he may have to re-enter at a higher price. Other than that, I started a thread devoted to alerting people that Daniel "Whiz Kid" Miller is anything but. I think I accomplished that mission in about 3 days. I also chat with Susie, but hey, who doesn't !!! Sorry for the long post. Regards, Chris
