Gee! How reassuring! Too bad the electorate didn't consider that when they voted for him!

You are absolutely correct that we have escalated the crises. The President and his advisors apparently calculated that the escalation now by Nato would be less dangerous than the perceived escalation later if Nato did not act. I completely disagree that going to war now to avoid "possibly" having to act later was the right thing to do. They should not have acted unless it threatened to drag Nato allies Greece and Turkey in.

This is like watching a chess player that can only think one move into the future.
