$11 is a bargain. I called the local coin shop this past week to ask what they had for silver and Eagles was it and they wanted $13.95 each for them. Fortunately I found another seller who had some Canadian at 3.1 X face and some 40% silver halves at 83¢ each. I cleaned out his entire $200 inventory.

EXC Point, parde! More than 1 way of determining POG. Ergo:

1) The recycled POG (second cheapest only 2 panning gold [or gifts of gold]) based on an UNDER $20 per TROY oz cost!!! http://www.worldaccessnet.com/~goldbug ) for info on that POG

2) The US Mint's fabricated POG/S
(your illustration of 1 oz of silver called an American Eagle now priced at $11 is a beaut!!!)

3) The tv's own QVC jeweler's POG
(http://www.qvc.com/scripts/departments.pl?dept=jewe
click gold,
click 24K
click the 1st item 33 grams for only$1350

4) The NY Mercantile "official" POG
(http://www.nymex.com)

5) "ANOTHER's" POG [in oil credits]

6) The Japanese Yen, DM, SF, Rand, Zloty, etc., POG
(http://pacific.commerce.ubc.ca/xr/plot.html)

7) Searle's SDR POG:

8) Dentist's POG
(sorry no url, just call and ask for the current price of a Gold Crown...(grin))

There are so MANY different bases for Pricing Gold it's a PLEASANT "chore" just trying to keep them all straight.

Live long and prosper, eric and lovely Mrs. Parde
