You replied:"As for God as Director/Producer...why should He care? I believe the "play" is as much for His own enjoyment as anything else. Call it an experiment....whatever. Just because you feel things have to have a predetermined outcome, or some desired result doesn't mean everyone/thing does. Sometimes I watch college basketball because I want to see the team I like win....but mostly I watch college basketball because I love the game and the outcome is irrelevant. Maybe you could call God the "Referee". He makes judgements, but doesn't care about the direction of the game."

Perhaps direct/produce is the "wrong" word...
Maybe I should He's the "Set Designer"...
Or is that still too tough for you to understand?
You assume that the director/producer desires a particular outcome (based on the abominable things they've done to fine books, that is clearly true). However, I've attended several interactive plays that have no particular outcome in mind, and are always fun to attend because it's so variable. Granted, these are few and far between, but it beats watching the same movie 15 times (well, there are some movies I'll watch over and over again....)
Anyway, set designer may be better since the set designer has no evident "opinion" on the outcome of the play itself, just that the essential parts the players require are in place.
