I have a question for the thread:

How is that some guy on Ebay is offering new, still-in-the-box Latitudes for $700 less than what Dell charges on its Web site? He can't be buying them cheaper than what Dell sells them direct for, can he?? I checked the exact specs of what he was offering and compared the same configuration with the Web site's. How is this guy making money?

TIA,

Yamakita

>>Posters, to be fair, should make up their minds. Either it is positive that Dell sells only direct, uses only intel chips,and/or stays out of the sub-$950 market, or not. Analysts negative statements re Dell are bullish or not. Good news for Compaq,IBM,HP,GTW,and/or Intel is good or bad for Dell. Etc., etc.

That's a very digital outlook, hdl; things are either good or bad and everyone must be consistent and play by your rules. I am here to find a way of increasing my personal wealth, not to satisfy your sense of fair play. In place of your "rule", I propose, Posters should be free to state their personal opinions, which may vary from moment to moment based on external influences, without risk of attack by judgemental threadmates .

I believe you still owe me an apology for your intrusive comments and unwarranted insults, hdl.
