In my case :

1) We were not in fast market conditions. The stock price moved by $1 or $2 in the 20 minutes in most cases where delay was more than 20 minutes....

2) Confirmations were reported, according to Schwab, every time within a minute of the order executions...

I heard some brokerage houses mark the successful accounts, esp the option traders. I thought the guy who told me was paranoid. But since my prudential account NEVER has any execution problems, I would say Schwab is thoroughly dishonest...! Like I said, I would litigate (and win big time - trust me on that ) if the amount involved had been substantial to warrant that kind of pain...!

That sounds plausible, except I've never had a delay on an execution, even a limit order when the market is favorable to the broker -- only when I stand to make a profit. I have not had these difficulties with equities, only options. Routing is a big issue, I'm afraid.

I think the specialists aren't above pricing things to fit the situation, either. I've seen situations where, when I'm the only holder, all the other options go up, but mine stays the same!? Go figure. I wish we could "capture" these sessions and show them to the SEC.

And oh BTW, my prudential account is up more than 60% since Jan, despite the steep commissions of $400-1000 or more per trade - whereas my Schwab account is up only 10%, despite their "low" $30 fee ! And thats totally totally because of bad executions !

LOL BTW I have yet to personally meet a satisfied Schwab customer. Maybe you are the first ? Or maybe you work there ?
