wily, the other side of that coin is that the Japanese DRAM makers are not particularly bullish on RDRAM and in MU's camp. It seems that some operators agree with the Japanese and MU, the short position on RMBS has tripled since January.

Wily, you will note that the only support for that assertion at the current time is a MS report. I lost an article that outlined the current lay of the land on Direct RDRAM, but it is a dead duck by the looks of it. I think the link to the article was posted on the INTC thread a week or two ago and the poster was lamenting how stupid INTC was on this fiasco, if you are really interested.

The interesting question for this thread is how/if MU gets strong armed back to the fold by INTC. And that is what it will take if the confrontation between Applesause and Rambus' Harmon at Niles' little party is any guide. -g-

wily, if one company gets ALL the business then it might be a smart move. funny, though, how mu doesn't have the resources to do this and samsung does...
