good article. thanks.

I know I've seen orders I've placed with both brown and Ameritrade not appear on the L2 screen for several minutes or more.

About a month or so ago, I'd called Ameritrade after over 10 minutes of not seeing my ask price listed(though others above and below mine were there).

I asked the guy if my order had been filled. He put me on hold, came back and said only that it was placed, but no report. I then told him my order WAS NOT showing up, and what gives. Another hold for about 3 minutes(during which time I finally saw my order go up-by their main MM NITE. Then the guy comes back and gives me a wash about it should be there, check again, blah blah blah.....I said good bye.

I don't know much about how they work. I might be totally off base, but it just seems too suspicious to me.

Like the article mentions, there isn't a real cause right now for the majority of people to complain.

While the market continues to move higher, most everyone makes some money, and that will stifle complaints.

BUt the day when it comes that the market turns sour, it's gonna be like they said a flood of selling, and no one to match up a sell to. Probabally make it 10 times worse of a sell off.

Hope I can be careful and fortunate enough not to get caught trying to sell on those days.

I do place market orders occasionally when I sell a stock, however, 99% of those sells are into the stregnth of run up happening while I place the order.

I'm probably one of those not complaining right now, because at the moment I have made a few bucks.
