Metastock And Stockwatch

Hi Keith,

Many thanks ... I had actually managed to get a few converted some time ago using 'ASCII' but Not 'Metastock with Open' ... I didn't twig on using 'Metastock with Open' with a .txt extension.

I am only interested in a small database of 50-100 stocks or so, so it shouldn't take too long to download them.

I still don't understand how to do the daily update though.

Regards,

John

PS - Sorry, I see I posted it here instead of on the realtime thread. I will repost it there to keep things together in case someone else wants to look back for the information.

OT - ''Melissa'' virus hits Internet, may cause havoc Monday

<< A virus that spreads a list of pornography sites via e-mail hit computers over the weekend and threatened havoc Monday as workers return to offices and begin opening messages sent over the Internet. -- cont'd -- >>

abcnews.go.com

From Reuters News ... I used the filter in my Outlook Express to delete any messages off the server, with the subject line they mention, without downloading them ... That should work, I figure.

Hopefully, all this extra internet traffic will not slow down our quotes too much Monday.
