If ERICY does what you are suggesting it would be quite irrational and they will be back on the path of self destruction. Ericsson now has a clear path to profitability and growth with CDMAone and CDMA2000 why would they risk that on a hair brained scheme to fool their customers? Customers are smart enough to figure out the right answer. I am sure QCOM will make sure that the world knows the truth about that. I think the operators understood the story before but were hoping to save on paying royalties to QCOM if Ericy succeeded in it's immoral bid. With Ericy paying royalties to QCOM the world is ready to get on with it and start building 3G systems instead of waiting for 2 years.

Price For Infra> ( from yahoo post)

Merrill is estimating that Ericcson paid about $200 million for the infrastructure business. I've seen a couple of estimates of a billion dollars. I'm not
sure if they would have a better handle on it since they advised Ericcson on the acquisition (Lehman advised Qualcomm). They raised there price
target to $108 (They are a little late)....

Just my interpretation but they were much more positive in the Ericcson report. Not a surprise since Ericcson is the one paying them.
