At this point, Cohen is also willing to lay a bet on some depressed sectors. "Improved
investor confidence and signs of stabilization in the global economy will ultimately
encourage increased interest in lagging securities such as energy, REITs and others
viewed as high risk," Cohen says. Energy should benefit from improving supply
conditions, increased demand during the winter months and the decline of the dollar.
