The Whiteshell gravels are chrome nickel mica carb rock and qtz. I will bet that nobody who has seen them has looked at the Kerr Addison mine.

Most sources in BC, China and Russia are point source. Often the point sources are disappointing. California had lots of uneconomic qtz veins in gabbro that made nice placers. (Ross). In BC the lead zinc silver gold veins in sediments and volcanics are the frequent source altough some are qtz. veins in volcanics and massive sulphide systems (Eskay Crk.). American geologists were trained to overlook volcanics so often missed the hint in Alaska and the Yukon. Now we see in Atlin (Some old Queenstake work) and Quesnel that large QV stocks and shear systems can be the source too. (Int. Wayside).

The lava systems should be suspected. I would look at the mag and look for small late felsic intrusions and porphyries. Property scale vertical mag may uncover qtz. vein systems. The systems are frequently directly underfoot (Wayside) or at the most hilltop.( some Cariboo sources)

If your waste is slaty and brown blue green then look for sericite hosted shears.

Yukon/Tintina Gold Belt Takeover Plays

Find following news from Aurora Gold Corporation on Jnr. takeovers
in the Yukon/Tintina Gold Belt.
I have been following activities here with some interest for a
while (see previous postings re: Barramundi Gold & Tintina Gold Belt).
Since then BAM have released very positive drill results from
Longline Yukon property and have done arial magnetic survey of
Hunker Dome.
They are well positioned for possible major takeover play as they
have one of the largest peggings on the northern side of the Tintina
Belt.
