This mess in Kosovo is looking uglier by the minute. I fear we have really put our foot in it so to speak. I just hope a lot of American servicemen don't suffer as a result. How incongruous that the "man" in the WH who once wrote how he loathed the military and avoided service now extols the virtues of our military. Do you think old Bubba actually ever had a sincere feeling or emotion, other than lust? JLA

Johannes: Milosevic is a bloody dictator...but my observation was contingent. SUPPOSING that this action were well- considered and justified, we should have concentrated on halting the offensive.
By the way, I have said before that I consider the sanctions against Iraq to be ineffective and punitive against the wrong people. If Saddam cared about the populace, they would probably work. He is dangerous, and not just towards the Kurds....
