believe continuous flow manufacturing applies to the movement of the product along a straight line from beginning to completion...off line operations used for component assemblies that are delivered ready to install on the main product line....the manufacturing process than becomes a pure assembly process, instead of a fabrication/assembly process..finished product not scheduled for assembly line until all sub assemblies have been allocated and tested..

may be wrong...but as it applies to other industries...not anything to do specifically with bto...regards, ed a.
