I'll agree w/ that. I have never shorted a net stock till the last couple weeks and it has been GNET and EFAX (this one will file Ch11 in 6 months -ng- dop you have any idea what this little POS does... I couldn't belive they were able to sell shares.. truly amazing)

The internet craze appears to have peaked though to me.. that's why i shorted GNET. GNET to me is a bottom tier internet co (not because it ain't a good co) but because it was one of the last ones to go nuts.. so it is definatley one of the last thru the door. That tells me this thing is winding down even if I am worng about the overallmkt BK'ing. Note that YHOO and AMZN have faield to heit new highs and show a heavy distribution pattern. They are bluecips internets-- if there is such a thing? -g- I call them that simply because they are the biggest POS's w/ the largets mkt caps and the first ones to go nuts) Typcially when a sector comes into vogue, I have found, that a cycle takes place where the bluechips lead the way up and the small trash goes bonkers at the end while the big boys tread water... then they all BOMB. Same cycle is in the broader mkt too.

Additionally, I was starting to hear stuff like "maybe the net stocks aren't a bubble?" so we had some acceptance.. that marks a top (to me)

Like I said normally, I would agree w/ you.. shorting net stocks is asking to have your arms cut off... but I think they are ripe now. Heck, even the bears are scared of them? -g-
