michael...re : dell valuations...you're preaching to the converted..

analysts aside, what they all forget is dell or msft or intc, are not just stocks, but "PROFITABLE COMPANIES"....i care not of short term pundits, who prefer revenue growth over profits...for i own not the stock, but a piece of the company...we have fallen into a perversity over the past few years where it has been decided the only goal of a ceo is to assure a high stock price, nothing more...e.g...the internet issues...some of the less than mature posters have not lived as an adult with investments thru one, let alone several economic cycles...a high cash flow, low margin, weak asset company usually doesn't survive down cycles...i don't buy high expectations....only reasonable fundamentals...growth,value...whatever you call it...dell is a blue chip...look at its balance sheet...ebay is not....ironic when you compare "high expectations" or "valuations"...best regards, ed a.

p.s. my goal in investing is 15-18% per annum...if i acheive year in year out...i beat the "pros"
