Gary, Heck, nobody was ever afraid of me. But I never got to work as a PM with in house analysts. When I was at Waddell & Reed, which was a big fundamental shop, I was an analyst. At The St. Paul, the PMs each followed a few industries, but it was mostly secondary research and not my cup of tea. At the hedge fund, we had no analysts. At American Capital, I managed fixed income and didn't use analysts. I did run the convert funds for a few months, but we never seemed to have an analyst following anything I was interested in. MB
