You are correct but I'd be foolish not to point out that Apple's mistake was far more debilatating than anything MSFT could have done. The failure to license the hardware development (like IBM did with the IBM-compatible clones) is what did Apple in. Microsoft just happened to come with those clones making them what they are today. Does anyone feel that MSFT could have won the desktop over if they had competed in a fair fashion? (I just love inciting MicroSmurfs). But I do try to keep an honest perspective even if I sometimes look though rosy glasses :) Peter Strifas
