Bid.Com is not marginable at many brokerage firms including the one where I work. Usually a 70% marginability applies to an optionable stock. However BII is an exception to that rule, post BRE-X. That being said, this is not the only internet stock that is not marginable, the firm simply does not want to deal with the risk. There are some other firms that will margin 50% or 25% however quite a few firms are at 0% margin.
