Justa,

Never thought about it this way. It is the greater fool theory work as new investors come on line and provide the base for a new level to the pyramid. I suspect you are right. With the growth of the internet, this thing will not end anytime soon unless we get a long protracted bear market.

Mr. Market takes no prisoners. As I have said before this ".com" phase will end with MOST, notice I said not all, companies losing 95%+ of their value, assuming they can stay in business. I believe it is analogous to the "onics" phase in the late 60s and early 70s. HA!

Went short XLK (Select Technology) at $37 for a short term trade. I saw portfolio managers with a cruise control approach to buying, positioning themselves for the end of the quarter without a care in the world. Volume was unimpressive on NYSE and NASDAQ. I suspect we will see investors looking at valuation issues with this 10,00 milestone achieved. Bottom line: I am not buying this move as an upleg especially in this environment and am willing to increase my short tomorrow if the market is willing to give me a higher price.
