If you bought in CDN$ you can keep it that way and you will be able to sell them on both exchange. Or you can convert in US$ when you decide to sell, just ask your broker to convert for you.

Correct me anyone if I'm wrong.

You can sell them on any of the two exchanges, the US stock should match the CDN version taking the exchange rate into account. If you don't want to go through a second conversion leave it in CDN $$. It is undervalued anyway, IMO.

Fidelity actually holds BII under an identifier that is not BII some people here will remember the actual symbol. When BII gets listed NASDAQ, your shares will be given the new symbol and you will then sell them in US dollars...(thats the way is supposed to work) Do if BII gets listed on the NASDAQ when it is trading at $20 Canuck, then it will be opened on the NASDAQ at a 13.25US (give or take a loonie)
