REW, no need to be too brief--you could have a fairly compact intro and then reference the major DD site and a number of your recent posts as well.

Hi Bob

I certainly hope you take the job as you have certainly shown all of us how serious and how long you are about tsig. This one of my favorite threads due to it's history. Like many others I feel as though we have a family here and it is rewarding to see the same names and to feel the sense of familarity that we have here. With over 22000 posts a person can come here and if they wish can read the past posts to get the warm and fuzzy feeling about tsig, they can see the progress. I know that with the familarity that I speak of, it is easy to drift away from the subject matter and turn the thread into a general conversation pit about anything and everything. From zbytes mules to post 22222 to Freak's happy hour. It is imho to Freak's credit that he started a separate thread for such posts and I am grateful to freak for that. There are currently nine threads on si for tsig, of which only two are active and imho that is one too many. As far as starting a new thread so that we can be on the si hotlist. Let us remember the words of one of our astute tsig long's here. There is no need to hype tsig, no need to inundate Steve Harmon and newsletters with "look at tsig etc", no need to hype tsig to the masses "for the masses will come to us". Those words were written by marty six months (?)(maybe longer) and it is apparent by the pr's that that prediction is coming to fruition.

One thing that I would like to see remain in the header is the link to the sec filings. If I can be of any help to you, don't hesitate to ask
