My parents were always of the opinion that undergraduate school was a place to study and persue areas of true interest to me rather than only concentrating on and trying to anticipate which professions would be the most lucrative or in demand in the near future. They felt it should be a time in one's life to experiment and tap into areas that i was drawn to,even if i chose not to go on to ultimately work in a related field. A time allotted for exploration and study, but the determination of the area concentration was to be mine alone.

I followed their advise(one of the few time i did) and have never regretted it.
The business i currently own has nothing to do with the internet, but rather, import and export. I got involved in internet stocks for exactly the same reasons i studied art history back in college..because they were of interest to me. I have been lucky so far in my choices but often times am frustrated because i can't always find the time to keep abreast as much as i would like due to running this business...i am fascinated more and more lately by those that are in it full time..not exclusively day trading, but those that have the opportunity/time to really be on the cutting edge of things..

Sorry for the long reply ..you probably regret having asked at all.

btw..are you in involved in a full time capacity..i havent looked up your profile so i dont have a clue?:-)

Rgds,

susan
