Herb,
The only non-retained QP data that I can think of is provided by Market Guide and updated on Saturdays.
What requires you to "retain data on a daily basis"?

Bob

"I began getting results good enough to identify a 'best candidate'."

What were the top three factors that your statistical analysis came up with that appeared useful for predicting future stock price increases?

What turned out to be the 'optimal' hold time for the stocks that turned up through this process?

Very interesting discussion.

Thanks

Ultimately, the important thing is to produce results reliably that will fund your loved one's needs and some desires. If you are happy with your results, you have arrived...and much congratulations on your diligence exhibited to get here.

BTW, I subsequently realized that I was talking about a statistical process called "stair-step regression". This is essentially finding the factor that contributes the most towards an end, prediction accuracy in my field, high % returns with investments. Then all remaining factors are paired with the first accepted factor to see which results in the most improvement. Then all remaining factors are tested with the first two, and so on...until no further improvements are noted with the addition of more factors.

Congratulations again!
