My point was that the press doesn't necessarily "get it", particularly when the situation is complex and takes time to resolve (e.g. the Digital/Tandem purchase).

I agree with the poster who pointed out that cpq could need several quarters of earnings visibility before it can avoid these sudden drops.

To me the big issue is who cracks the SMB market where the white boxes have a 40%-60% share. If cpq's modified direct model can do it great.

In the meantime, I would settle for some good news too.:)
