Capcom has purchased Net2Phone Direct gateways, and will resell Net2Phone Direct services. Capcom has planned an aggressive rollout for Net2Phone Direct in Spain, Italy and other markets in southern Europe. ---------------------- Dec. 29, 1998 - IDT has received licensing to provide switched voice service in Germany, the third largest telecom market in the world. The Company intends to increase international originating hubs with planned pop's in Western Europe and the Pacific Rim. The Company expects to begin operations in Germany within the next three months, which will help reduce the cost of termination and origination. ----------- Jan. 20, 1999 - Net2Phone has entered into an agreement with the GTO,in Oman. GTO has agreed to purchase Net2Phone Direct gateways in Oman and market Net2Phone's IP telephony services. GTO will be offering Net2Phone to its Internet customers in Arabic, the first Arabic-language Internet telephony service. 'We chose to work with Net2Phone based on their experience in the development of full system carrier-grade IP telephony solutions and advanced services. ---------------- Jan. 29, 1999 - IDT has signed agreements with four major European telecoms to establish a direct fiber-optic connection between the companies for international long distance service. Through agreements with France Telecom, Deutsche Telekom, Swisscom N.A., and Telefonica, IDT will be able to provide better access and lower termination rates to a number of countries throughout Europe. The agreement establishes direct channels between the companies' international switching points and IDT's facilities in the United States and United Kingdom. -------------------- Feb. 22, 1999 - Net2Phone will begin offering Internet telephony services in Brazil and Russia. Through an agreement with multinational telemarketing company TVB International, Net2Phone gateways will be installed in two developing markets. TVB Communications has set an aggressive target for installing additional Net2Phone gateways in a new country every few months. "TVB has decided that Net2Phone is the perfect company to supply all our equipment and services in the IP telephony arena.' -------------------- February 23, 1999 - IDT has acquired Netherlands-based Orion Telekom BV. Through this acquisition, IDT has procured a contractual relationship with Royal KPN NV, the Netherlands' leading phone company and associated physical interconnections, an installed Alcatel S12 switch, an operating license in Holland, and a robust facility in Rotterdam. Because IDT already received voice licensing in the Netherlands, the interconnection with KPN is the last leg in getting facilities operational in the market, enabling IDT to offer voice services in the Netherlands, including carrier and retail services. The Company expects to offer wholesale carrier services by the end of March, and plans to offer retail services shortly thereafter --------------- March 16, 1999 - IDT's Net2Phone has successfully completed an evaluation of the Siemens InterXpress solution in their IP telephony network. ''The Siemens InterXpress family offers a comprehensive suite of products available for large-scale IP telephony deployments, and that is an important positive factor,'' said David Greenblatt, chief operating officer of Net2Phone. The InterXpress solution allows telephone calls to be conducted via the Internet to any telephone terminal in the world.
