I remember a few years ago meeting a group of Communist Chinese ''students'' working at a local University's Nuclear Lab - my first reaction was - what's wrong with this picture ? - someone in Government is clueless... I interacted with this group - 7-8 times over the next few years - to say that they were ''anti-American'' was an understatement... this was a face-to face, gut level obvious no-brainer security risk.... These were NOT bright eyed innocent young geniuses who loved America, and were here at the seat of Intellectual Freedom to expand their intellectual horizons... a normal, everyday citizen in 2-3 5 minute conversations could sense a glaring problem...ayone notice the virtual riots in ''our'' streets this week by the US - Serbians'' - burning US Flags, and Anti-American rioting in ''our'' cities ? No Brady Bill ? No Handgun Control Inc. ? - how dare they ? Irregardless of the politics, or the religion; to have a people, or a nation defenseless to the historicall tyranny of madmen; because the lessons of history are forgotten - how sad; not the way I would want to die..nor, do I ever want my grandchildren, or the next generation to forget the lessons of history and time - the great equalizer. ...it is amazing, how we forget the lessons of history. Ask the Jews of WWII, or the Kosovans who were pulled out of their offices and homes and summarially slaughtered, defenseless in their own Streets - just how ''likely'' those scenarios were - mere years before they occurred ? Everytime I hear the emotional, illogical appeal of Gun Control vs. Crime Control; I observe how one side is heavilly supported by the ''Greatest Generation'' and the other by the Suburban soccer Moms...food for thought. One side lived history and the other thinks it only exists on that Cable Channel that they never watch.... Hopefully even we in America will never get so arrogant as to think that it can not and will not happen here... Only those that did - have had it happen... How serious is the situation in Serbia ? What is the mission - is this a catalyst to a potential historic conflict ? Is the intervention in a 2000 year old religious/Civil War ''endable - solvable'' ? Can we possibly ''win'' any of these types of situations ? If NATO is to be the New World Orders Global Police Force; why are the ''policemen'' virtually all Americans ? Why are we continually not only footing the bill as taxpayers, but taking the total brunt of the criticism of not only our enemies, but our supposed allies ? Wait, untill we take the brunt of our first domestic Biologic, or Nuclear terrorist Act - God forbid; but in this era of technology; we are arrogant to think that it is not a ''when and not if'' scenario... We had better think long and hard before engaging... hmmmm; seems more important than ever to perhaps have one of the ''Greatest Generation'' at the helm and not a publically laughable, former ''inhaling'' Military Protester; now being Internationally criticized as being a Sociopathic, - immoral , purely self serving wag-the dog politician - caught in a International Crisis at a potential historic Global Crossroads. Anyone else get that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach will this guy at the helm ? Only in American can we have ''foreigners'' buring our flags and chanting die America in our own cities, working in ''our'' Nuclear Labs and stealing secrets,...only in our deterioting National Moral Fibre and lost Historic Perspective - and in the ''Politically Correct'' - ''ME'' generation can we have a public Adulterer,accused Rapist, Anti-US Military- draft dodging, pot smoking, , secret selling - dollar grubbing Political Sociopath lead us into this mess... will we ever return to our senses.... ?
