<VLNC downgraded to full-fledged stock fraud.> By Bill Wexler only. <I now consider Valence a full-fledged stock fraud:> Translation: "Why won't this stock go down?" <I believe that the stock has been fraudulently promoted with the full knowledge and participation of management.> Translation: You WANT to believe that VLNC has been fraudulently promoted. You have not offered up a single name or any evidence to support this except that there are too many bullish posts. <I believe that the company has made false and misleading statements in press releases, the internet and through paid promoters including Don Wolanchuck.> Show me where VLNC has paid Wolunchuck for a paid promotion. If they have, he must disclose that fact by law. He has not. Is he a criminal too? He is not a paid promoter. Actually, people pay him for his picks and research. <The gist of Valence's fraud revolves around the persistent dissemination of false reports that the company is producing or on the verge of producing "Lithium Polymer" batteries at a Northern Ireland facility.> This is hard to prove, but let me tell you why I believe (know) it to be true: 1) The company showed video tapes of the NI facility building product on automated assembly lines at the last stockholder's meeting. 2) I personally know someone who has received and tested samples of their batteries built in NI. You have to trust me on that, which you obviously don't. 3) There are well over 100 people employed at that facility in NI. I think about 150, it may be higher. Most are assembly workers. What are they doing all day if they are not producing batteries? Many ads have been found in local newspapers in NI over the past 6-10 months indicating many people were being hired. 4) Insiders have bought huge amounts of stock recently. If they aren't on the cusp of production, why would they do that? <The company posseses no unique battery technology.> 213 patents and the U.S. Patent Department disagree with you. 133 more patents pending. Frauds don't get patents, let alone 100's of them. Not to mention the GM/Delco statement that between the 2 companies they own the key patents for production of LiPoly batteries. <The company does not have any manufacturing capability> You already used this one. <nor does it have the resources to market or sell any product.> The product does not need to be marketed in a normal sense to be sold. VLNC batteries will be sold to OEM's not consumers. Their purchase is based on performance, reliability, price, delivery, etc., NOT on marketing. These companies do the marketing of the battery. You don't even understand this industry at all do you? <In fact, the company's financial condition is near-critical.> Critical is not a correct assessment. They are in need of money, true. They have Carl Berg who will give them another $7.5M. NI will give them a $40M grant (over time) once they ship $4M in batteries. Actually NI has already advanced them a few million of that. I guess the government of Northern Ireland is in on this VLNC scam? Worst case is they may need another bridge loan. Based on the highly favorable terms CC gave them on the last loan after doing 2 months of DD (including visiting NI). Financing will come; a slight dilution is the only downside. <There is absolutely no reason to buy this stock.> Other than the potential of a large contract announcement accompanied by the immediate doubling or tripling of the share price. <In fact I think that current Valence shareholders risk the loss of 100% of their capital.> We all risk that in all stocks we invest in. Your last prediction was that the stock would go to $1. What's next, will the stock go negative and we will all owe money? Actually, being short this stock, the probability of YOU losing 100% (or 200%) of your investment is much higher that the long's. Wexler, you should have researched this company before throwing your money into what you thought was a familiar pattern. There is substance here. Delphi (GM/Delco), Energizer, and Alliant are all HUGE companies that believe in VLNC's technology. The board of directors is a Who's Who of successful businessmen. Calling it a fraud will not change the fundamentals. I could care less whether you are long or short this stock, just stick to the facts please..
