Business Editors & High-Tech Writers

BURLINGAME, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999--In the Friday, March 26th press release, "High Tech Superstars Make More Money Gambling on Their Own Stock that Selling Products," Forbes ASAP incorrectly used the term "profits."

The magazine in no way meant to imply that Dell's practice of buying and selling options went directly to its bottom line. The press release and the story also neglected to say that Dell uses this money in an employee stock repurchase plan.

The term "profits," however was not used in the magazine story and Forbes ASAP stands by its original story.
