What is interesting is that EBAY is down correspondingly. This to me indicates that investors would most likely swing from EBAY to AMZN.

Sarmand this isn't instinet. Most of pre market trades are on the ecn's isld, inca and tnto etc.

Sarmad--The first few trades are usually MM "bait" to test the waters. Once the MM gets someone to bite, the opening trade price usually goes down a bit. AMZN did not do that today.

Some of the premarket trades are instinet (INCA), but other ECNs are being used as well (i.e. TNTO, ISLD). I use either of these when I trade premarket (not today, I was long from Friday).
