Bob,

I have a question. When I press the 'clear new message counts' button, is that clearing the new messages that are shown on the current screen? or is it going out to the DB and clearing the new messages there?

I ask this because if the latter path occurs, technically thats a bug. In the time difference between when the page was loaded with X number of new messages and when I press the 'clear new message counts', new messages may have occurred in potentially different threads that I have bookmarked, and by pressing the button I'll never realize there was a new message posted there....

I'm hesitant to push the button, for if the latter of the two choices is the way it works, I am afraid I will miss something that I am watching for...

One time when I was visiting Las Vegas (lost wages) for the weekend, I checked into the Tropicanna and waited in a line. When I got to the front, the person asked me if 'X' room was alright. When I said yes, the person tried to mark me as the occupant of that room and discovered someone else had it. We tried this with several different rooms. I finally told the person they had a bug in their computer room reservation system (which was rather obvious) but to make a long story short, I got a tower suite at the regular normal rate....
