I didn't watch CNBC but this caught my eye from the transcript of what they talked about this morning.

Vic,
I know all about the virtues of buying a skeleton enterprise to add value to AV... but what they picked up has a bad aroma, and they seem to be insensitive to the market's sensitivity regarding such matters. In fact CPQ is tainted by shopping.com's negative aspects, in spite of the structural properties that the purchase adds. CPQ is still laboring to thoroughly and profitably integrate DEC at this time and their image needs to be polished by acquisitions which are part of a successful portal thrust rather than diminished. I'm certainly not arguing that the mechanics of an ultimately successful portal solution are not in place, I am saying that they have absolutely no flair for "designing" solutions that have appeal. Even the AV search engine (which I've used principally for 4 years or so) remains bland and unattractive from a visual design point of view and image is an important factor on screen and in the mind's eye.
