I had a Wall Street Investment Banker explain e-commerce to me in this fashion.

"When you buy an e-commerce company the goal is not the individual stock, but to buy the stock you think will not only survive mergers, but will achieve a sizeable amount of the market share... you are not buying the stock you are buying an international global market share."

I dont know that I agree with that statement, but that was the mind set of many Wallstreeters as late as February... when this "theory" was explained to me.

But security issues are about the only thing I can think of slowing down this sector if many of the gazillionaires are thinking in this fashion also... on the other hand I dont have any e-commerce stocks at the moment, since early March everything is riding in the oil and gas sector and one OTC stock <VBG>.
