mohan...re yugo, hyundai, and "you've got mail" in the ghetto.. nothing wrong with offering a product to lower socio economic groups...look at the plethora of give away pagers and cell phones..most at this low end view the computer as a toy or an enhancement to their sony play station or sega...and when it breaks, just throw it in the trash...this is not the "growth" market that the analysts perceive...a gross miscalculation...the korean manufacturers have entered and reentered this market numerous times...if hyundai and samsung with all their financial staying power could not succeed, i would question the new players...political unrest, labor problems,low quality common in korea...which is not a "japan" the growing markets as i see are still the high end usa and the "developing" areas of india and prc...with 2b people who are at least technologically oriented...cheers, ed a.
