GALT with it's GalNetII family is the undisputed current leader in switched GE/FE solutions with Layer 2/3 support. PMCS, while well ahead of Level One here, chases GALT but hardly qualifies as the BRCM prime target and is less vulnerable - as yet. MMCN provides top performance and at very high prices has a limited (CSCO only?) customer base. BD is right, that ASICs are all over the place and up for grabs...
