Yes, Jeff(rey), I do. If you go to a meeting like Alex. Brown or H&Q and bend a CEOs ear, you'll find that they know their competition. That's good, as that's their job. It's also their job to keep their own projects on track and to fund them.

So, there's not much time left for the good CEO to follow the breadth of effort in the sector as a whole. However, it became apparent **some time ago** that research infrastructures and patents were discounted to the point of absurdity, and that pipelines were not sufficiently broad. There was and is an obvious solution, but these frigging blind, slow-moving CEOs don't have the insight to look beyond their paycheck for synergies. Bend that same ear, and odds are that you won't find someone with a broad appreciation of the sector.

The CEOs are also often arrogant. They don't see the plain truth.... sector investors are often better informed about potential synergies for their business plans than they are. They just can't acknowledge such. I'm going to develop these thoughts in greater detail, elsewhere....... that we have reached the point where biotech CEOs are relatively ignorant of their own sector, and are therefore endangering it at a point where consolidation is mandatory.
