You must also follow that analysts performance on a particular stock. An example is QCOM which I have owned for years. There were analysts who made the right calls the whole way. There were others who insisted on having a hold on it upuntil it was up 200%. Frankly my experience has been that BT alex brown, Lehman are excellent and as objective as can be expected. I would ignore anything coming from Merril Lynch or CS First boston. I am neutral on Solomon and Nations bank. This would only count for the Teleco analysts. i do not follow many other areas.
