Hey Stockwatcher, Another ADSN release. Located on index #2.

ASI Launches New Universal Software that Reduces
ERP Implementation Cycle and Costs

Southfield, MI, March 29, 1999 - Advanced Systems International (ASI) has
introduced a powerful and flexible data distribution and access (DDA)product that will
dramatically reduce ERP implementation cycles and costs.ATLink(tm) provides a
seamless universal interface between automated shop floor and warehouse data capture
and the multiple ERP modules, packaged application integration software, bolt-on
applications, and legacy systems which require this data.

ASI President and CEO Gerald Pesut said, "Unlike conventional
Middleware,ATLink(tm) is the first offering that meets all of the most frequently
mentioned criteria for a universal data distribution and access software, eliminating the
need for a myriad of point-to-point interfaces. It is a true client/server DDA solution that
is platform-, data collection device- and database-independent; scaleable; and is built
on non-proprietary, industry-standard modules (ODBC, ADO, DCOM/COM,
ActiveX/OLE). The Company worked closely with data collection terminal
manufacturers such as Intermec,
Hand Held Products, and Control Module to incorporate built-in interfaces to their
products."

Using ATLink's(tm) Windows(tm)* NT-based graphic user interface, users (customers
and integrators) can rapidly automate data capture tasks involving a variety of data
collection devices, and then distribute accurate, reliable data throughout the enterprise.
The RAD (Rapid Application Development) tools and native Microsoft development
tools, such as Visual Basic, were used to develop terminal applications supplied with
ATLink(tm) and can reduce typical application development time by a factor of ten.

ATLink(tm) allows users to configure their own systems, in any manner they see fit,
without the need to go back to the terminal vendor or ASI for specialized software.
Integration tasks, which once took weeks, can now be performed in hours without
extensive debugging or re-testing. Pesut said that this will "enable users to slash six
months to a year from ERP implementation and eliminate millions of dollars that would
otherwise be spent for custom point-to point interfaces as well as dramatically reduce
life cycle software maintenance costs."

ATLink's(tm) client/server structure becomes the control center that
communicates the data to two or more dissimilar systems, allowing them to share
information. Two levels of built-in transaction verification insure unparalleled enterprise
data security. Two-way application scalability provides an efficient, cost-effective
solution for any size division, company, group of companies, or Multi-national
Corporation.

At the front end, ATLink(tm) automates all of the bar code data capture requirements at
the manufacturing and warehousing levels:

* Receiving raw or finished goods in a warehouse
* Tracking work in process and labor hours against work orders
* Employing the use of Kanban on production lines
* Movement of finished goods from production to storage
* Picking, packing and delivery

Pesut said, "A most common delay within the ERP implementation cycle has been the
problem of getting data into the system from the manufacturing level. Now if a company
works in parallel with ERP implementation to automate its data collection and
distribution at the manufacturing and warehousing level with ATLink(tm), it will
automatically solve its data distribution and access problems for enterprise resource
planning."

Howard Tarnoff, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said "ATLink(tm) is an
extension of the company's BasLink(tm) data collection Middleware, developed in
conjunction with Chrysler and Perot Systems and used primarily, but not exclusively, in
conjunction with ASI's ATServer® time, attendance and labor allocation software. He
said, "BasLink(tm) has fewer features and a narrower range of applicability than
ATLink(tm). However, it has proven
ASI's open Client/Server DDA concept in some very demanding applications at more
than 50 installations for companies like ITT Rochester and DaimlerChrysler. Many of
these companies have expressed interest in updating BasLink(tm) to the full ERP DDA
capabilities of ATLink(tm)."

Advanced Systems International is a leading supplier of open enterprise software
solutions including ATLink(tm) data distribution and access (DDA) for the Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) environment as well as ATServer® time and attendance and
labor allocation applications.

Key markets include packaged goods, pharmaceuticals, food processing and other
manufacturing industries.
