Osicom Technologies (FIBR), through its subsidiaries, designs, manufactures and markets integrated networking and bandwidth aggregation products for enhancing the performance of data and telecommunications networks. The stock has performed well lately, rising from a Fall 1998 level below $2 to the current price of $24 1/2. Contracts have been coming through for them regularly. The most recent was an agreement on March 17th to provide an Osicom Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing system to a local exchange carrier for a new fiber optic telecommunications network. We are hearing rumors of good news from the firm. Over the past 52 weeks, FIBR shares have traded in the range $1 3/4 to $24 7/8. The stock is currently changing hands at $24 1/4, up 1 5/8 on the day. Should you decide to invest, use a stop-loss of $21 1/2.
