Ellen Martin is "not aware" that the mortality target has ever changed. That is why I was trying to get some focus on how a significant p value can be established with just mortality in both arms. Once they had established the mortality levels they apparently were able to calculate accruals and ESTIMATE how long it would take to get there.

Caution!!! I believe there were times when Martin claimed she was not aware of what the target was. If this is true and correct on my part as well as hers it is possible the target could have changed. She apparently is aware of the current target. By not saying, "NO" she leaves open the possibility that indeed it could have changed.
