That is not a problem. You can watch DVD movies on Macs (I do it on my PowerBook all the time).

The issue is with the executables that also reside on some DVD's. Some are screen savers, etc that show clips off off of the DVD (old Godzilla movie DVD's). Some are applications that show clips from the DVD in a window. These are PC only executables that can't be used by Mac users. Ronin is a good example of one. They had an online event driven by a Windows application on the DVD. There was no way to participate from a Mac (although I heard the site was overloaded and not much of anybody had a good experience).
