Critical Path handles the mail at about five million
e-mailboxes -- keeping about 180 customers (Internet
service providers, web hosting companies, and
corporations) from going postal. By hosting clients'
e-mail, Critical Path can handle all the technical aspects
of e-mail, reducing the headaches and cost of
maintaining an in-house support staff. Customers,
which include @Work, E*Trade, Network Solutions,
Surfree, and TABNet, maintain their own brand names
on their accounts. Backed by financing from several
venture capital firms and investment banks, Critical
Path is expanding into Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Hey, David, what are the legalities of IPO allocation? Schwab says there is nothing they can do. I don't know the ins and outs of securities law, but it seems to me there is some form of contract of the underwriter with Schwab even if it is oral. Can they just pull them if the issue becomes too desirable? Opinions of securities attorneys are welcome.
