If you want to get an idea how autoweb works try this link out:

autoweb.com

IT looks like a decent system, but I doubt I will buy my next car thru the web. If I bought Used, I'd want my mechanic to look it over. If I buy new, I really need to drive the car and see how it feels on the road.

I have no idea how the price will go on this stock. Probably they will get bought out by another company. When that happens the price will surge out of sight.

They have a pretty good program for people wishing to become affiliates. If an add gets placed you get real bucks I think something like $5....

One of the things I like about AWEB is that it is in Silicon Valley, which means that it has a lot of opertunity for mind share. The Valley has Hotmail, Alta Vista, Netscape, Infoseek, Ebay, Etrade, Yahoo, etc etc etc. There is no correlation really but being in the hotbed of Internet development should give it a edge up on for growth.

Both ABTL and AWEB look good to me, I see them as twins with a lot of also rans. To me this still make a ton of sense for internet business, the amount of people that enjoy going to the car dealership are very few, I know many that have a start out fear of getting hounded by a car dealer. A common experience that many of us share is buying a car just a little before we made up our mind at the hands of a good salesman, the internet and AWEB can help that.

Normal sales won't go away, but Internet sales will be seen as upside
