My guess would be that it's primarily people who feel:

1. The market is too complex for them to play, so they trust those decisions to "professionals".

2. Fund managers will look out for unitholder interests first and only.

3. Funds generate better returns than they could.

Yeah? But who owns the mutual funds that own the internuts? -g-

In actual fact, the guys who make money are the ones who buy the AIM advantage fund - the fund that allows you to make money off of the suckers that buy the other mutual funds. <g>
