The Melissa virus --- brought to you by Microsoft

It's been ages since it was discovered that Microsoft Word macros could become a vehicle for locally executable code which can damage computer systems. And yet what is this? A Melissa virus using the same port of entry!!!

You can just imagine with all of the bugs in Win2000 what is going to happen to corporate networks foolish enough to standardize on Win2000 next year.

They'll have to change the IBM advertisement.

SVP:"Bob, last year you said we'd double our investment in profits connecting up to the net."

Terrified looking Bob.
Bob: "Yes."

SVP:"And you said standardize our web systems on Win2000!"

Bob: (eyeballs popping)

SVP: "Well Bob now everyone in the company is being invited to log in to www.bimbos.com. W-H-Y Bob?"

Music from Mission Impossible.

B: (sweating) "It could be the Y2K problem....(look of disbelief mixed with disgust on senior vp's face) ...or...it could be that bug in Win2000."

Music from Mission Impossible. (louder)

SVP: "Bob. You're fired Bob."

silent screen slide: "Contact IBM to solve your e-commerce problems. We'll fire everyone in your company that's ever heard of Win2000 --- and we can find them"
