bluegreen, you sound mad! Have you just gone mad or were you always mad?

This is a moment to be glad not mad. Now if when the trial is ended and we shareholders are kept in the dark then I might also become mad. But in a clinical trial designed to see if your drug saves lives, the absence of an expected specified number of deaths, does not make me mad. I realize that if they had reached this level 6 months into the trial it probably would have been because Neuprex was not working.

Don't misunderstand me, I am not trying
to run you off, only wrestling with your
idea of when the trial was supposed to be
halted. For a long time now we have been
waiting for Dec'98, the time we all thought
the trial would be over...though like I said
most of us were hoping the DSMB would have
halted the trial in Sept by saying "this is
the best damn stuff we have ever seen."

Now that we know we are waiting for a certain
number of deaths, and not a certain date for
ending the Phase III trial we can only wait.
Stretching out the ending is agonizing but
totally in our favor, I believe. I still think
03-3l will be the end...of course I have been
wrong before.....enjoy yours and George's repartee,
it helps us work out for ourselves what XOMA won't
tell us.
